Our Baguio Wedding: An Authentic Review of Frangeli House

Frangeli House is a staple wedding venue in Baguio City. It’s known for its intimate and picturesque gardens and well-kept house. It’s a beautiful gem nestled in a busy city. We chose it as our wedding reception venue because it’s one of our non-negotiables. Read away to know more about our experience and recommendations if you’re eyeing to book this place!

Reception Venue & Accommodation: Frangeli House

Professionalism

Chaya, Bryan, and Faye exhibited exceptional professionalism throughout our interactions. Their patience in addressing our inquiries and their polite recommendations created a comfortable environment. We particularly appreciated their willingness to share experiences from previous couples, which greatly assisted in our wedding planning. Also, their documents and contracts are clear and complete. I appreciate their updated website. We are thankful that they have always been accommodating of our request to have viewing for various purposes – including decor walkthrough.

On our wedding day, the staff’s warm welcome for us and our families created a truly special atmosphere. We saw their dedication because they made the place spotless, yet still exuding an inviting ambiance. We were impressed by their transparency regarding costs, specially when an unexpected incident occurred during the after-party. Although my husband and I didn’t know what happened and we were ready to shoulder the cost, they wanted to refer to the CCTV first. We commend them and truly love them for that.

Quality of Offered Products/Services

Frangeli House is very beautiful. We chose it because it felt intimate and warm. The place is very Baguio City, if I may say. Moreover, their front and back gardens are well-manicured. The rooms were all clean, too. The bed is comfortable, bathroom is clean and simple. Also, every corner of the house is picturesque. Chaya and the rest of the team were on standby all throughout our stay.

Just an FYI, furnitures can only be used at certain places. That’s because they want to preserve the beauty and quality of the house. Wedding chairs and tables have to come from a separate supplier.

Flexibility and Customization

Frangeli House adheres to strict standards to preserve its aesthetic and quality. This includes guidelines for suppliers, operating hours, and use of furnitures and rooms. To share, there’s a fee if your suppliers are outside their recommended list. Also, they are not open 24 hours, so be sure to coordinate with your suppliers when they could start with the ingress. The house is in a residential area; loud music isn’t allowed. This affected the vibe we initially wanted, specially that we hired a live band at the back garden. Of course, we agreed to comply to all of these. Still, we appreciate that they still accommodated our request on the use and setup of the living area for our after party.

Value for Price

The place is beautiful, indeed! However, we must admit it is not cheap. Booking the place does not include full access to all of the rooms of the house. The guests’ accommodation is a separate pay. I think the rooms are also a bit overpriced for its size and quality. Additionally, the house also strictly implements its rules that I have shared above, which limits us to optimize our other suppliers, eg. our live band.

Overall, Frangeli House is quite an exceptional venue. They played a huge factor for our wedding day. It is picturesque and very much Baguio-themed. Planning our wedding here was swift!

Downside: One thing we didn’t see coming, and we weren’t informed of were their pet cat/s. Sadly, we had two guests scratched by their pet cat/s. They had to have their shots taken after our wedding. We felt so bad. Their safety is our priority. We wished we could have discussed it. Hence, this is a demerit we’ll apply in our overall rating.

Recommendations for couples:

Ask away. Frangeli House has a lot of rules so be sure to read through their documents and ask if there are anything unclear. Feel free to ask them as well about their recommended suppliers that could best deliver based on your ideal vibe.
Talk about their pets. As what I’ve shared above, know more details about their pet/s and what would be the best arrangement.
Get more value for your money. Book the place if you’re planning to have both ceremony and reception in the area.
