My Beauty Preparations Before the Wedding to Feel Amazing

Weddings mark the beginning of a beautiful journey, and the lead-up to this life-changing event is filled with anticipation, excitement, and a fair share of preparation. I wanted to feel my best on that day so I took the preparations very seriously. Here are my beauty preparations before the wedding, when I did them plus a hint of my favorites.

Acne Breakout – Out!

I suffered from acne starting mid-2022. The discolorations were profound and some were even cystic and did hurt a lot. That was a very frustrating experience because I’m not really the type who would have breakouts. Later then did I find out it was from my state of mind. I know, that’s a different story. I did my part to address that. But then, I knew I needed simultaneous help from skin experts. So, I booked acne facials and did it every 2 weeks. It was a commitment. Boy, did the injections and pricking hurt. I’m lucky that it got better after 6 sessions.

Also, extra dose of estrogen helped to calm down my breakouts. Estrogen’s known for controlling sebum production. Of course, I had a consultation with a doctor first about it. This was the most crucial beauty preparation before the wedding.

Laser Treatments FTW!

I booked my facials to include laser treatments once the breakout’s under control. The laser treatments I did were RevitaLight and ClearLift. These treatments helped in shrinking the pores and skin rejuvenation through boosting collagen production. However, I like ClearLift better because I can see better and faster results. Also, it has always been my go-to facial and laser treatment before my breakout era. I did RevitaLight four times every month. Then, I did the ClearLift three times every three weeks. It’s the latest laser treatment I did before our wedding day.

Snatched and Toned

My face shape is round. Don’t get me wrong. I like it. I love my cheekbones because it’s prominent as I wanted it to be. However, I wanted my cheeks and double chin to tone down. I gained a bit of weight so I also can’t see much of my jaws. I did ThermaFirme, Accent Prime and Exilis. ThermaFirme uses radiofrequency (RF) waves to boost collagen production while heating the deep tissues for a toned result. Meanwhile, Accent Prime uses RF, Guided Ultrasound Waves (US) and Microplasma to melt the deep tissues and achieve a contoured and rejuvenated skin. Lastly, I also did Exilis which uses RF and ultrasound energy for heating and breaking down of unwanted fat cells while simultaneously tightening it.

Among the three, I like Exilis the best, followed by Accent Prime. It toned my skin immediately after the session. Also, I think that the result of the Exilis is equivalent to more than one session of the two. I have to say, this is my favorite among all my beauty preparations before the wedding.

Yay for Pearly White Teeth

My teeth has been one of my insecurities ever since. I’ve forgiven myself for the alignment, but the color has been bothering me. My incisors, or my front 4 teeth, are relatively whiter than my canine and molars. I wanted an even color so I had my dentist chase the color of my incisors. The treatment that was done to me used blue LED light. It took less than 30 minutes and it was painless.

Dripped my Way to Better Skin

I availed Cinderella drips and had it for every week before the wedding. I just can’t remember how many sessions I did, but I think it was around 3 or 4. I did it to achieve glowing skin throughout my body. Also, it’s to help the lightening of my acne marks and other pigmentations of my body.

Fresh Cut and Color for the Crown

For my hair, I did occasional haircuts. I had my hair fully bleached so the ends were pretty dry. I did two trims a year before the wedding. Then, I got to refresh my hair color a week before the wedding.
