Score that Oomph with Mistine Wings Extra Cover Powder!

Perfect for combination or oily skin type, the Mistine Wings Extra Cover Powder SPF 25 PA++ is one of the latest products of Mistine in 2022. The main reason why I got this product is I wanted a powder that has SPF in it. I think that this is the most convenient way to re-apply SPF midday.

I became more interested in this produce since it is launched in Paris, France. Actually, I have always adored French makeup looks. They look clean or polished, simple, yet sophisticated. Hopefully, this powder will help me achieve that makeup look.

For this review, I’ll try the promising claims of this powder. It promises to control oil as it is anti-water and anti-sweat. Secondly, it claims to be featherweight because of its delicate powder formula. Lastly, it claims to smooth the skin tone. Particularly, to conceal and set the makeup in place.

Makeup Breakdown: Mistine Wings Extra Cover Powder

Packaging:

This powder comes in a plastic compact case. The words “Mistine Wings” are engraved on its cover. Also, it has a wing icon covered in gold and stands out. Its glass has a decent size, and it comes with a sponge as well as its applicator. Moreover, this product does not have an indicated PAO, yet since it is a powder it would be good for 2 years. Lastly, it has a net weight of 10 grams.

Honestly, the Mistine Wings Extra Cover Powder SPF 25 PA++ feels cheap and seems to be fragile or vulnerable. I think that it could actually break once dropped.

Shade:

The Mistine Wings Extra Cover Powder SPF 25 PA++ has three available shades as of writing. Specifically S1 or white, S2 or medium, and S3 which is perfect for neutral skin tone. I hope that Mistine will expand the shade range of this product for inclusivity. The shades are relatively light.

Also, as of writing, there are only two shades available at the Lazada shop of Mistine. Hence, I got the darkest shade available, which is S2, for this review.

Smell:

This product has no extraordinary smell to it. I think that it’s the typical powdery scent.

Price:

I bought the Mistine Wings Extra Cover Powder SPF 25 PA++ for Php 416.13. Its original price actually is Php 800.00. It’s a bit expensive for a face powder. Probably, having SPF and launched in Paris, France are the reasons why. Nonetheless, I’m excited to try this one out!

Claims:

Control oil as it is anti-water and anti-sweat

This product was able to control oil in the first few hours. However, It was not able to do do so from the 3rd to the 6th hour mark. Hence, the need to retouch specially if you have an oily skin type.

Featherweight because of its delicate powder formula

I agree. Using the sponge to apply powder could be tricky. Often times, you can’t control how much product you put. My face did not feel powdery or heavy after using the sponge to apply the Mistine Wings Extra Cover Powder.

Smooth the skin tone by concealing and setting the makeup in place

I can’t particularly say that it was able to smooth the skin tone because this product was way too light. However, it gave a sheer to medium coverage.
