While I was scrolling on YesStyle, I saw that the MacQueen NewYork Waterproof Pen Eyeliner is its bestselling eyeliner. Around 95% of customers said that they were satisfied with this product. I knew then I have to check this product out.

This pen eyeliner, with more than 5,000 reviews, is fine-tipped for easy control. It claims that its formula enables thin, smooth strokes which can be layered to achieve the desired effect

The MacQueen NewYork Waterproof Pen Eyeliner claims that it contains carbon black ingredients which result in an opaque color result. Also, this pen eyeliner swears that it is resistant to water, sweat, and oil, hence highly waterproof without smearing. I’m also excited to test its magnet-like adherence for a long-lasting look and its even and smooth application, thanks to its ink tank system. Lastly, this product claims to be tidy and easy to wash. This is because of its film-type texture that can be effortlessly removed by warm water without the use of makeup removers. Shade:

This pen eyeliner from MacQueen NewYork has two shades available: Deep Black and Deep Brown. For this review, I have with me the one in the shade Deep Black.

Smell:

This product has a faint distinct smell, that resembles ink but I don’t think that it could be an irritant at all. From my experience, I did not have any adverse effects while I had this on.

Price:

My MacQueen NewYork Waterproof Pen Eyeliner was bought from YesStyle for around P250.00. YesStyle usually has a sale going on their website so check it from time to time.

Application:

There’s no extraordinary method to apply this product but to draw it along the lash line. From my experience, I had no trouble defining my eyes. Its brush type head is also flexible enough to my liking. Since its tip measures 0.1 mm, it’s easy to achieve a detailed and sharp wing liner. The MacQueen NewYork Waterproof Pen Eyeliner is easy to use, even for beginners. Hooray for that!

Performance:

Upon Application

Upon application, even over shimmer, the pen eyeliner applied seamlessly.

When I did this makeup look, I didn’t even use a concealer to clean my wing. I’m happy with that since it was less work for me.

Waterproof Test

I tried to rub the eyeliner with water and it didn’t smudge at all. Impressive!

Lotion test

I also saw a lotion test of this pen eyeliner on YesStyle and I had to test it myself to see if it’s true. Indeed, even after rubbing the eyeliner with lotion, it didn’t smudge.

I agree. This product stayed put for 8 hours without smudging or fading at all. It’s cheap but it’s of great quality.

The product has stayed put on my eyelids, for 8 hours, and endured against my natural oils. Also, after doing the water and lotion test myself, I fell in love even more with this product.

Smooth and even application

It is true to its color, and there was no patchy area as I glide it on while contouring my eyes. I didn’t have to shake the product when I applied my eyeliner on both of my eyes.

Easy to wash

I used a waterproof makeup remover, and I didn’t have to rub it against my eye area. This product is effortless to apply, and equally effortless to remove.
