If you want to know more if this product is living up to its claim and worth the buy, then please keep on reading!

Makeup Breakdown

Packaging:

Issy & Co. Cream Tint

The Issy & Co. Cream Tint is packaged in a plastic cuboid form and feels a bit luxurious when held. You are able to see the shade and amount of product through its packaging. Moreover, it has a doe-foot applicator for easy application. It has a net weight of 7 mL. According to its box, it is vegan, cruelty-free, gluten-free, paraben-free and dermatologist-tested since it is pregnancy-safe and free from silicone and sulfate. It has no PAO indicated, yet since it is a lip product, it can last for 1-2 years once opened.

Shade:

This Cream Tint has 6 shades namely Pink Lady, Deep Blush, Hello Dolly, Dessert Rose, Peach Bud, and Sangria. Refer to the photo below for the complete swatch.

For this review, I’ll be trying the shade in Hello Dolly.

Smell:

This product has a yummy fruit-wine scent. The scent faints after awhile.

Price:

The Issy & Co. Cream Tint is worth P329 and is a bit more expensive than other cream tints. You can buy it from Issy & Co.,  BeautyMNL, Lazada, and Shopee.

Application:

According to Issy & Co., the Cream Tint must be dabbed first at the center of the lips, then blended from one corner to the other using the fingertips. The Cream Tint must be dotted and blended quickly when applied on the cheeks.

I was very upset when I tried to apply it on my lips. It gave a white-ish hue when I blended it using my finger and it did so little to give me a fresh hue. I had to layer it multiple times with hopes that it will look better. However, it started to settle on my lips’ cracks and made it look and feel dry even though it is primed and hydrated. It even made my lips look weird since it became patchy on the outer part of my lips. It dries so fast because of its watery formula so layering more made it look worse.

I also tried to apply the Issy & Co. Cream Tint on my cheeks but there was little to no pay-off. More product seemed to set on the fingers I used for blending, even though I re-applied for more than 5 times. I really felt like I wasted a lot if this product already and I still haven’t achieved the fresh-look that I want.

Have you tried this product? Please tell me your thoughts on it. I’m hoping that I only got a bad product or maybe the quality differs for each shade.

Performance:

  • Upon Application (9 AM)
Issy & Co. Cream Tint

As seen from the image above, the Cream Tint settled weirdly on my lips. It became patchy on the sides and did not settle well on my lips. There is also a minimal tint on my cheeks even though a layered it for more than 5 times.

  • 4 Hours After Application (1 PM)
Issy & Co. Cream Tint

The Cream Tint has completely disappeared on both my lips and cheeks after eating and drinking my meal. Hence, this product won’t last long from day to night. You have to make sure to check it from time to time specially after eating.

Verdict: I don’t recommend this product!

Claims:

  • Gives a natural tint to the cheeks and lips

I agree but applying the product takes a lot of time. It appears very faintly and you have to reapply a lot of times to get your preferred natural look. I don’t see myself reaching for this since it’s time-consuming to use. Most of the product also settled on my fingers during blending and I think that was pure waste.

  • Glides on smoothly and blends easily

The Issy & Co. Cream Tint glides smoothly, but it does not blend easily on the lips. It appeared patchy, and settled on the ends of my lips which didn’t look good. On the cheeks, it blended easily yet my issue with it being a waste when blended by my fingers does not satisfy me.

  • Lasts from morning to night

The Cream Tint has completely faded after 4 hours on my lips and cheeks. Make sure to check how the product looks on your face from time to time.

  • Can be easily layered

This product can be easily layered when used on the cheeks, but not on the lips. I also observed that it has a white cast when I smudge and blend it with my fingers. I’m interested to know if this happens to all shades, or only for the Hello Dolly shade.

  • Leaves no sticky texture

I agree. There’s no sticky texture upon application and when it has completely dried due to its water-y consistency.

  • Perfect for brightening your best features

The shades perfectly complement the Filipino complexion. Particularly, the Hello Dolly shade gives a youthful and bright look that is surely flattering.
