The lip stick comes with a white plastic packaging, with a see-through bottom to see the shades. Embedded on the packaging is the Careline brand, and its mantra – Better Than Basic. Hence, this lipstick promises to deliver ease while still on-trend that will be loved by makeup enthusiasts or professionals. The lipstick is packed in a box to which the ingredients, stock number, batch number and manufacturing date are printed. The product weighs 5.4 grams and has a PAO of 24 months. It has the icon of cruelty- and paraben free.

Shade:

The Soft Suede Lipstick Collection has a total of 6 shades that will surely compliment a wide variety of complexions.

(From Top to Bottom: Icon, Fire, Mood, Spice, Trophy & Vibe)

Although the shades look lovely, some may be confused with the shades as there is inconsistency on the packaging and actual pay-off. Icon, Fire and Trophy are darker when applied.

Smell:

The smell has a bit of vanilla which is clean and a bit powdery. The scent lingers for a while but fades after a few hours.

Application:

Based from my experience, there’s no tugging when I apply the Careline Soft Suede Lipstick Collection. They feel very moisturizing, and their finish is fresh-looking. Expect also that since this will not dry matte, it is not transfer-proof and kiss-proof.

However, I observed that the lipstick in the shade of Spice has a different formula from the rest. It feels thicker, and it tends to be patchy on the lips. Also, it clings on the dry areas of the lips, hence exfoliating is a must.

Performance:

  • Upon Application (7 AM)

Vibe on the lips

The lipstick, upon application, looks very beautiful. It has a soft sheen which makes the lips look moisturized. Also, it feels very lightweight which is similar with my Inga Semi-Matte Lipstick.

  • 3 Hours After Application (10 AM)
Careline Soft Suede Lipstick

After 3 hours, the lipstick has already faded specially on the inner part of my lips. Note that it’s because I ate breakfast and was drinking from a cup. Since the product does not fully dry, it transferred on my cutlery and glass. Hence, retouch is needed specially after eating or drinking.

Verdict: I recommend this product!

Claims:

  • Full of moisture, pigmented and lightweight

I agree that the Careline Soft Suede Lipstick is moisturizing, pigmented and lightweight. I see myself reaching for it every now and then, most specially when it’s a lazy day to put makeup on. Moreover, with its price of P165.00, its formula, finish and feel makes it worth its price.
