Wedding of the Century

It was my first time to attend an event as a blogger. I’d be lying if I tell you that I wasn’t excited. I’ve had a few invitations that I had to turn down because of work and distance. It takes around 5 to 6 hours of travel from La Union to Manila, and could even come short or otherwise depending on the time of travel within the day. This time, maybe fate was on my side, but I was invited to the Wedding of the Century at Century City Mall last July 1, 2018, which was a Sunday. The event showcased various gowns and suit creations by Edwin Uy, Chynna Mamawal and Dave Ocampo.

I arrived at the Century Mall half past 4 in the afternoon, just in time for the start of the event. I was very much excited, most especially, for the runway/fashion show to start by 6 in the evening. My questions regarding inspirations, deviations, details and innovations were ready. To my surprise, I was told that there was no fashion show. Rather, it was on the day beforehand; contrary to what I was told.

I entered the hall and my eyes feasted on various booths by different event coordinators, makeup artists, cake designs, photo studios and array of food to taste – almost everything you need on your wedding day. Also, the wedding gowns and suits, which I was excited about, were worn by mannequins and were displayed at the entrance of the venue. SLAM Event Production

Slam Event Production offers bridal makeup packages which ensures simple and classic look while making sure that their client’s features are highlighted. In addition, they also offer skin care advice to their clients as preparation for the wedding day. D&D Cakes Etc.

D&D Cakes specializes in customized cakes, cupcakes, cookies, candy and dessert tables. Icing cakes are priced from P500, while P1,000 for fondant cakes. Also, cupcakes and cookies are sold by dozen.
