Makeup Review: KissMe by LiveGlam

Who doesn’t love to receive gifts? As a young working girl who doesn’t have that much responsibility (except for house bills of course), I don’t have anybody else to spoil but myself. Enjoy your younger years, they say. So what better way to spoil my self but through subscription boxes? And for the love of makeup and beauty, I’ve long been on the hunt for affordable and quality makeup subscription boxes. I’ve come across a few makeup subscription boxes after binge-watching famous beauty gurus on Youtube. There’s Ipsy, Boxycharm, Play! by Sephora and Birchbox to name a few. However, only a few ships internationally. While I was watching one of Shaaanxo’s videos, (btw she’s my favorite beauty youtuber) she talked about LiveGlam. I was so curious and desperate to try; I just couldnt let it go! On the LiveGlam site, there are three types of subscriptions – KissMe which includes 3 lipsticks to be received monthly, MorpheMe which includes 3-8 pieces of makeup brushes to be received monthly as well, and ShadowMe which is a makeup palette to be received every other month. I signed up specifically for Kiss Me by LiveGlam because I was intrigued of their company’s claim that the colors and formula would never be received repeatedly. I also would like to dwell outside my comfort zone which are nudes and pinks.

I really really enjoy my LiveGlam KissMe Subscription and if you want to know why, here are my top three reasons:

1. Affordability

The LiveGlam KissMe Subscription only costs $19.99 or estimatedly around P1,000.00. If you’re from… shipping fee is free, but if not, international shipping costs and additional $1.99 or around P100.00. The cost of claiming this from the post office is P112. The total cost of getting 3 lipsticks is P1,212.00 and the amount of product you get is 2.8mL. To add to that, LiveGlam enjoys giving gifts so you get to pick your 4th lipstick of your choice on your first ever subscription. You also get a chance to change your billing date, and your membership from monthly to 6 months or annual.

2. Freedom

You can skip your next month’s subscription if you plan to subscribe but still unsure. This is actually nice because you get to peek at the next month’s lipstick colors. It is posted on their site and sent as well to their customers via e-mail before the shipment of the first batch of every month’s lipsticks. You are free to decide if you like the next month’s colors or not. Aside from skipping, you can also trade your next month’s subscription. You can choose from past lipsticks, brushes and other available makeup products. You can cancel your subscription anytime; there’s no separation cost! If the winds have changed and you feel like subscribing again, LiveGlam would give you a welcome back gift through a makeup product of your choice.

3. Quality

I believe that quality comes at a cost, and I think that the lipsticks from the KissMe subscription costs reasonably. I have neither received a patchy formula nor an untrue color from the packaging. They claim to be super long-lasting, fast-drying and highly pigmented, and I see that they delivered what they say so. They are also cruelty-free and vegan which are additional points. To add to that, they claim to be paraben-free, gluten-free, noncomedogenic, and pthalates free – basically healthy and non-irritating! Did I forget to mention that their lipsticks smell so good and yummy too? I have received mattes, creamy mattes and metallics so I’m really happy that I get a variety of amazingness.

Now that I have mentioned all the goodness from this subscription, there is only one downside that I would like to comment – shipping time. The lipsticks ship within 2 business days of payment, and based from my experience, I received the lipsticks after 23-25 days from shipping – that would be a total of at most 27 days! That’s nearly a month of waiting. Whew! See, that was the reason why I cancelled my subscription before. But then, I realized that since I’m paying this myself, the excitement actually goes back up once I’ve already received the lipsticks. I realized that it was unfair to reason time when the quality and price is set so high. That’s why I went back to subscribing again. This is really really worth the time.
