Be All Eyes on the Sunisa BB/CC Cream!

I came across the Sunisa BB/CC Cream while scrolling through Lazada. I was intrigued at how much it sells monthly. Actually, it amounts to more than a thousand, and it’s one of the top trending BB/CC Creams. I’ve seen a few advertisements about it in Facebook before, but upon seeing how many people buy it, I knew I had to get my hands on it. Hence, I shall test this product to see if it lives up to its claims.

In particular, this product claims to be convenient to use, smooths the skin and gives a natural look. Additionally, it claims to provide a flawless, airbrushed, photo-ready foundation look at any age. Moreover, it aims to be skin friendly and portable. Lastly, it shall balance the sebum levels, reduce acne, dry patches, skin irritation and prevents the signs of aging.

Indeed, those are a lot of claims. It made me even more excited! Just keep on reading if you want to know more about the product.

Makeup Breakdown: Sunisa BB/CC Cream

Packaging:

The product comes in a box, however it arrived in a not-so perfect condition. I believe it was bent or folded while it was being shipped. On the other hand, the product as well as the container for the sponge applicator can be seen upon opening the box.

One of the things that I immediately observed is how bulky the product is. As a person who prefers small bags, this won’t really fit. Although, I appreciate that the sponge has its own container. However, same thought applies since it’s bulky as well.

The product can be opened by twisting the cap off. A lid shall be pulled up, then the product can already be seen.

According to the packaging, this product weighs 20 grams. Although, it is not indicated if that is the amount of the formula, or that’s the whole weight including the packaging.

Shade:

I believe that this product has one shade only. Truthfully, it’s so far from my shade. Hence, I hope that this product would come out with more shade ranges in the future.

Smell:

This product smells powdery. However, it has a faint plastic-like smell. The sponge or applicator that comes with it smells very plastic-like, or rubbery. The Sunisa BB/CC Cream may smell overwhelming when the product is applied. Nonetheless, if you are not that sensitive to smell, this won’t be a problem at all.

Price:

I bought this product at Lazada for Php 99.00 only. Actually, price varies depending on the seller. I think that this is also available in Shopee.

Application:

I applied the Sunisa BB/CC Cream on the right part of my face using the dry sponge, while damp on the left part of my face. I actually prefer applying it using the dry sponge. Particularly, I felt that it was easier to blend. It felt as if the damp sponge and the product’s formula was negating each other. This result to longer blending time, and the look appears as if it does not sit well over my face.

Performance:

  • Upon Application

I didn’t like how the Sunisa BB/CC Cream looked upon application. I observed that the product clung to the dry areas of my face. This includes my pimple marks and the sides of my nose. I expected more for it to cover my pimple marks. Also, it looked better when I set it with a powder.

Additionally, I asked Cjay how it appeared after 30 minutes. He mentioned that it looked good, and that could probably be due to the powder which set it in place.

  • After 6 hours

I actually loved how it looked until the 6th hour mark. I liked how it looked like it’s not just sitting over my face. It looked like the product has finally sinked in and made it look skin-like. On the contrary, it didn’t appear smoothly over my laugh lines and the product has faded on the tip of my nose because it transferred to my face mask.

  • After 9 hours

As you can see in the photo below, the Sunisa BB/CC Cream has totally faded specially on the areas covered by the face mask. I looked like I wasn’t wearing any makeup product on my face anymore, aside from my temple area.

  • After 12 hours

After 12 hours, the product is totally inexistent. My oils have become more obvious, implying that the product is not able to control it

Verdict: I recommend the Sunisa BB/CC Cream!

Claims:

  • Convenient to Use

I agree! The Sunisa BB/CC Cream is convenient to use. I like how the sponge applicator has its own container to keep it clean. It’s also travel-friendly so it comes handy if you need a mid-day touch-up.

  • Smooth Skin

The Sunisa BB/CC Cream made my skin smooth upon application. But, I expected the product to stay put specially on areas where I have creases or fine lines. As I’ve mentioned, my laugh lines looked evident on the 6th hour mark already.

  • Natural look

Since this is a BB/CC Cream, this product looked natural and it didn’t make it look obvious that I was wearing a makeup. Also, it looked so good until the 6th hour mark. It appeared natural and it looked like it blended well with my skin.

  • Flawless, Airbrushed and Photo-Ready Foundation Look

I say yes to its claim that it gave an airbrushed and photo-ready foundation look because of how natural it appeared. However, I don’t believe that it made me look flawless because it was not able to hide my pimple marks as well as few of the reddish areas.

  • Skin Friendly

Small pimple-like bumps typically appear on my cheeks and forehead when my skin is reacting negatively to makeup or skin care products. However, throughout my 12 hour review of the Sunisa BB/CC Cream, no bumps or any skin reaction appeared on my skin.

  • Portable

My comments regarding its convenience applies here, hence, yes! I agree.

  • Balance Sebum Levels, Reduce Acne, Dry Patches, Skin Irritation and Prevents Signs of Aging

Since I was only able to try this product once, it would be bias if I already provide comments on these claims since these can actually be observed after a few times of trying it on. That is why I’ll pass on this one.
