Makeup Breakdown

Packaging:

The L.A. Nature Brow Fixer comes in a tin container that slides open. It is small and thin and it would easily fit in your pocket. I appreciate that L.A. Nature encourages its consumers to recycle its packaging. I see myself reusing its container to hold my jewelry or knick-knacks that I can’t let go of. It also came with two (2) pieces of spoolie brushes. Moreover, the product and spoolie brushes were packed in a sealable paper bag. I think it’s the perfect size to bring on the go. The PAO of this 20-gram product is 12 months.

Shade:

L.A. Nature Brow Fixer

There are three (3) shades for the L.A. Nature Brow Fixer as of writing. There’s clear which is perfect for those with thick brows. The other two are Black and Dark Brown. For this review, I’ll be trying the brow soap in clear.

Smell:

I find that the brow soap has a similar smell to a petroleum jelly with a hint of chicken broth. Call me weird, LOL.

Price:

The L.A. Nature Brow Fixer retails for P129 pesos. It is fairly cheap considering that you get 20g of brow soap.

Application:

According to the back of the container, the L. A. Nature Brow Fixer is applied by wetting the spoolie brush first with clean water. Afterward, coat the damp spoolie with the brow soap. Apply the product on the eyebrows based on preference.

Based on my experience, it’s easy to overcoat the damp spoolie brush. Hence, you could get whole bits of brow soap. I suggest starting by swiping the spoolie brush just a few times, then just build it up as you go. It’s easier that way since removing whole bits of the brow soap on your eyebrows is time-consuming. Nonetheless, the spoolie brush, although not that soft, coats the eyebrows well enough.

A disclaimer was mentioned by L.A. Nature wherein soap “sweating” is just a natural phenomenon for the product. This is because of its Glycerine ingredient. Anyhow, sweating or bubbles formed shall not affect the product’s performance.

Performance:

I shall focus on checking the performance of the product based on its claims.

  • First is to make the brows look fuller, thicker, and bushier. Looking at the photos below, the product did very well in making the brows look fuller, thicker, and bushier. It appeared as if my brows had thickening treatment and I like how healthy they looked. In addition, I liked the fact that I only used a few products but the end results blew me away. Thumbs up!
Left: Without brow soap
Right: With brow soap
  • Second is to stay up to 10 to 12 hours. I tested the product for 12 hours straight, (apologies for the different lighting) and I am impressed. This product stayed still very well even if there were times I unintentionally brushed against it. That was the reason why my brows have already appeared differently. Nonetheless, my brows still looked fuller, thicker and bushier. There was one thing though that observed with this product. It takes a very long time for it to dry. My brows were still quite damp after four hours. I think it depends on how wet the spoolie brush is and how much brow soap you coat it with.

Tip: Wet the spoolie brush through spraying 1-2 pumps of liquid (setting spray or plain water will do). Coat the spoolie brush with brow soap by gliding it 3-4 times, then apply on the brows. Re-coat if you want to build-up the volume. No need to wet the spoolie again.

Verdict: I recommend the L.A. Nature Brow Fixer Brow Soap!

Claims:

  • Fuller, thicker and bushy/feathered brows

I agree! It’s so easy to achieve full, thick and bushy brows. Also, the spoolie brush that it came with is the perfect size. The clear brow soap is perfect for those with quite thick natural brows, while the brown and black is perfect to achieve even thicker-looking brows.

  • Stays up to 10 to 12 hours

This product stays on up to 12 hours. Just make sure to not brush it off because this product takes time to dry depending on how damp and how much brow soap you apply.
