BubblySkin Melted Matte Tint: Must-Have for the New Normal

Wearing a face mask has been a must-need every time we go out. It has been one of the health protocols against CoViD-19. However, I believe that those who have a habit of wearing lipstick find it tricky to be both safe and feel beautiful. Nobody wants lip products smudging all over the mouth or transferring on the face mask. It just feels less hygienic. I’ve always been searching for the best products to recommend, and I came across BubblySkin Melted Matte Tint. I knew I had to test it out because Matte Tint is on its name. The BubblySkin Melted Matte promises its consumers to have a weightless feel of a lip stain with the intensely creamy pigment of a lipstick.

Makeup Breakdown

Packaging:

Bubbly Skin Melted Matte Tint

The BubblySkin Melted Matte Tint is packaged in a glass-like container, and its look is similar to Peripera’s lip tint. You are able to see the product through its packaging. Its applicator is flat and does the job of dispensing the product well. According to its box, its PAO is 24 months. However, it is 12 months from the brand’s Shopee and Lazada account. This made in the Philippines product has 8mL of product.

Be careful when dispensing the product since its packaging is not able to control the amount of product picked up by its applicator. Avoid suddenly pulling off of the head/applicator. There could be tiny droplets scattered and removing stains from clothing could be very difficult. In addition, do not leave this product open on its side. This product has a watery formula and it will spill. It happened to me while doing product shoots. Trust me, LOL.

Shade:

The BubblySkin Melted Matte Tint has seven (7) different shades ranging from browns, pinks to orangey-reds. I purchased three (3) shades for this review.

Blushing is like a light pink shade. I love that it compliments morena skin tones. After the product has settled, I observed that there is a white-like color that settled over the inner part of my lips. I have a similar experience with my Issy & Co Cream Tint in the shade, Hello Dolly.

Meanwhile, the shade Teddy is like brick-red and could be worn daily. It’s very flattering and it gave me an effortless boost.

Lastly, the shade Piper is a dark magenta. I like that it could be built depending on the intensity I prefer.

Smell:

The BubblySkin Melted Matte Tint instantly reminded me of the scent of local bread shops. I’m thinking of ensaymada with a hint of fruity scent.

Price:

This matte tint retails for P150. However, its brand sometimes has its products on sale, so just watch out.

Application:

The formula of this matte tint is watery. However, it dries a tad bit powdery and very lightweight. It felt as if I had nothing on. What amazes me more about this product is it’s transfer-proof and smudge-proof. Aside from that, it is also paraben-free, cruelty-free, and pregnancy-safe.

This product applies the best when smudged using the fingers. That way, you are able to get the intensity that you like. The product is also buildable. Just watch out since this product will stain your fingers and I had difficulty removing it even if I used a makeup remover.

Make sure also to hydrate and prep the lips prior to applying this product to get the best results.

Performance:

On the left is upon application.
On the right is after 4 hours when I had my meal.

I tried the Piper on for the wear-test of the BubblySkin Melted Matte Tint. Upon application, it felt very lightweight and looked natural. It made my face look livelier even if it’s the only makeup I wore. After 4 hours, I’m already done with my meal and even brushed my teeth. The tint has settled every so slightly on my lips’ dry areas. Nonetheless, it has completely faded and needed a retouch.

Verdict: I recommend the BubblySkin Melted Matte Tint!

Claims:

  • Weightless feel of a lip stain

The BubblySkin Melted Matte Tint feels as if I’m not wearing any lip product at all. It dries fully matte (with a hint of powdery-feel). Hence, you don’t have to worry about transferred lip product on your face mask.

  • Intense creamy pigment of a lipstick

I love how this product can be easily built depending on the preferred intensity. It’s true to its color and there wasn’t even any patchy area given that I did not exfoliate prior to applying it. For P150, this is definitely a steal.
