not flawed, just a woman transformed 🌬️ Lately, I not flawed, just a woman transformed 🌬️ Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about the silent expectations first time moms carry. When you enter motherhood, everyone yaps about the physical exhaustion. But no one really warns you about the emotional rollercoaster ride. One minute you’re looking at your baby with this overwhelming, tear-jerking love, and the next, you’re feeling completely overstimulated, anxious, or just mourning your old self. Hours stretched to days, becoming weeks, and I thought those sudden mood swings meant I was failing. I felt like I was losing my footing. But I recently read a passage that completely shifted my perspective. It reminded me that the dark and heavy moments of mothering exist side-by-side with the moments of pure joy and fulfillment. Feeling overwhelmed doesn’t erase your love. And being happy doesn’t mean the hard days aren’t real. We accept that big life changes take time to adjust to, so why do we expect motherhood to be effortless?
