In just a few short weeks, these tiny sleeves will actually have arms in them, and we’ll be carrying you home. It’s one thing to buy the clothes; it’s a whole other feeling to finally wash them and realize a human is coming to fill them. This little collection is a labor of love: • treasured hand-me-downs from my nephew (keeping it in the family!). • a few “mine!”-speed online shopping gambles that actually paid off. • and the literal back-breaking hours spent hunting through thrift store racks for those hidden gems. Now that the basics are prepped, I can focus on filling the gaps—and maybe a few more just-because outfits. Sometimes it’s a sudden nudge as if he wants to separate from my body, and other times, it’s a dozen tiny flutters as if he’s running a marathon! Someone’s definitely getting active in there! Looking back, I felt our baby move inside me as early as 14 weeks. Now that I’m counting down the weeks, I feel like it’s all too fast — can I hit pause for just a little bit? 🥹 P.S.
